Rossini Opera Festival

The Rossini Opera Festival is an international music festival held in August of each year in Pesaro, Italy, the birthplace of the opera composer Gioachino Rossini. Its aim, in addition to studying the musical heritage of the composer, is to revive and perform his works in a unique setting that allows collaboration of scholars, artists, and audience.

The XXXIX Rossini Opera Festival will offer three new productions: Ricciardo e Zoraide, conducted by Giacomo Sagripanti, director Marshall Pynkoski, Adina, conductor Diego Matheuz, director Rosetta Cucchi and Il barbiere di Siviglia, conductor Yves Abel; director Pier Luigi Pizzi, as well as the Petite Messe Solennelle, which will close the Festival, August, 23 at the Teatro Rossini by solemnly commemorating the 150th anniversary of the death of Gioachino Rossini.
