Palace - Old Palace Charlottenburg Palace |

Charlottenburg Palace
is today's largest residence of the royal house of Hohenzollern
in Germany's capital Berlin. The sumptuous building is
surrounded by unique baroque gardens featuring various
architectural styles. The palace includes magnificently
furnished chambers and ceremonial rooms with exclusive
art collections.
Your tour will take you to the rooms
of the so-called Old Palace, which was built for Electress
Sophie von Charlotte by Nering and Eosander von Göthe.
You will discover private chambers and ceremonial rooms,
the Oak Gallery and the Porcelain Cabinet dating back
to the era of Friedrich I, the first Prussian king.
Take your time to explore this palace,
named after queen Sophie Charlotte.
Groups of more than 10 persons have
the opportunity of taking a guided palace tour after official
opening hours.
Individual guests may visit the NEUEN
FLÜGEL of the palace (with an audioguide) during
official opening hours only ( April to October from 10.am
to 5 p.m., last entrance 5 p.m., closed on Mondays ),
but have the choice of visiting the palace during the
day of the concert or on any day following the concert.
The
restaurant Eosander is located in close proximity
to the main entrance of the palace, which is also
the starting point for the palace tour. You will
enjoy a three-course candlelight dinner in a cozy
ambience.
